InstaWeek

Life in Instagrams:

Yay! I bought new running shoes! Aren't they cute? As you know, Mike and I have been doing C25K, and my unsupportive Puma's just weren't cutting it anymore. We pseudo-conquered Week 6, Day 3 (read: ran 22 minutes straight and almost literally died). I think we're both traumatized from that run because it's been like 2 weeks since then, and we haven't run once. That needs to change.

I got new business cards! Super excited about these. They're so pretty that I don't want to give them to anyone, but I think that sorta defeats the purpose. And now I see why Moo Cards became a thing. They're awesome. That's why.

Pretty, pretty, pretty. I hit a local antique store recently (I've never been to one!) and scored this beautiful book from the 70s. I suppose it's less antique, and more vintage, really. There's a question for you: What's the difference between antique and vintage? I think of vintage as this century and antique as old as dirt. Am I wrong?

More shoes! I have been wanting a pair of wellies for so long. Scored these classic black beauties at Bendel's for 65% off. I wore them the next day because I live in Florida and it was raining here... again. P.S. Apparently men are super into rainboots. Don't ask me why. All I know is that I got three compliments on them that day, all from men. Since when do men notice women's shoes?!

New bracelets! I'm jumping on the arm party bandwagon and not looking back. I don't like too many rings because I feel like a gypsy and I don't like chunky necklaces on me because I already have a lot going on upstairs and seriously do not need to attract any more attention to that area. But bracelets, bracelets I can get behind. How fantastical are the dainty skull and the scalloped bangle? Love.

This week was also apparently laden with junk food:

I just want to say that the perfect timing award goes to me. I had to drop my car off at the shop and on my way home I stopped at the mall and purchased some macarons. Once I got home I realized I left my entire key ring at the dealership and had no way to get into our apartment. Fortunately, I had macarons in my purse to keep me company until M could come let me in. Crisis averted. I need to keep macarons in my purse at all times, methinks.

Mmm, strawberry pop tart. I haven't had one of these literally in years. It was just as sweet and delicious and calorie and preservative laden as I remember it. Worth it.

I went to a local Tampa restaurant called Datz that I discovered via Yelp. How I hadn't heard of or been to Datz before, I have no idea. But it is a crime and someone needs to be punished for it. Everything on the menu looked mouthwatering (They have poutine! Can't wait to try it!), but I finally settled on the meatloaf sandwich.

When it was presented to me, the only thing I could say was "Holy shit." This 4" tall hunk of delicious was not what I was expecting, but oh my god, it was so good. I devoured half of it before I had to throw in the towel and take the rest home. Datz, I see a long and fruitful relationship in out future.

And of course, no week is complete without puppies:

Scout cleaning his momma. Sophie absolutely hates it when he does this, but every now and then she'll just lay there and take it. So sweet.

Aaaand the wet face, pissed off aftermath. Look at that side eye she's giving me!

Spade had to get in on some action of his own and decided to bury himself in the towels while I was doing laundry. He's our special little boy. That face at the bottom just sums it all up.
