It's official. 2011 is no more! It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. No, for real.
In 2011 I:
-Got married (yay!)
-Wanted to kill my new husband for approx. 4 months post-wedding. He wanted to kill me too. (boo)
-We got through it, and are happier than ever. (yay!)
-Rescued a baby lizard, thus erasing my fear of lizards. (yay!)-I am still, however, terrified of butterflies and vacuum cleaners. (boo)
-Held a gun for the first time, and was surprisingly accurate. (a little yay, a little boo. I'm still torn)
-Saw my first baseball game. (yay!)
-Went back to ballet, was Blue Man Group, and did a little horseback riding and rock climbing (yay!)
-Did not leave Tampa for longer than a weekend (major boo)
-Got a new job (yay!)
-As a result of new job, haven't had time to enjoy my family/hobbies/etc. (boo)
2011 was definitely filled with more "yays" than "boos", however, I'm glad the year is over and I get to start fresh with shiny new goals for 2012. I love new years!
In 2012 I would like to:
- Get to my goal weight. (don't we all?)
- Try my hand at cooking at least one new food a month
- Get over my fear of butterflies, because it really is just all sorts of pathetic... *sigh*
- Travel. Road trip one coast of the US and somewhere international.
What were your 2011 highlights? What are your goals for 2012?

Yay for a new job!! Sounds like you've had a lot of ups and downs, hope 2012 is full of ups for you. ;)
congrats on the new job! hope 2012 is a great year for you!
Yay for a new job! :) And yay for things working themselves out with your husband - periods of wanting to kill each other are never fun!
I thought I was the only person terrified of butterflies! My husband and I went to Key West for our honeymoon, and we were given free passes to the butterfly exhibit. They are just in this giant green house flying around.
I thought we should go to help me fear of butterflies. Nope, it made it worse. I ran through the place, or would curl into myself so they wouldn't touch me!
What an eventful year! Hoping for great things for you in 2012!
