*sigh*
Anywho, enough complaining. Here are a few random snaps from my iPhone documenting the (somewhat) entertaining parts of my now very bland life. Sorry. I said I would stop complaining, didn't I?
Numero Uno:
This bish got bangs!
No shit, I have not let a professional near my head with scissors since The Great Hair Cut Disaster of 2004. So naturally, I squealed in terror and almost pooped my pants (such a lady) when she started chopping the bangs. Three inches and less than 5 minutes later, I was in love (that's what she said).
Numero Dos:
Sophie pissed on me.
While I was chillin' out, maxin', and relaxin' all cool on our couch in my brand new jeans. It was the biggest puddle of pee ever. This is her at the vet, right before we sent her to the torture chamber. Juuust kidding. These are the pups at the vet because I was fairly certain Soph had a bladder infection. It only cost $200 to find out I was wrong and she was just being a dick.
Numero Three:
The one in which I fail at life.
Not sure if you can tell, but this is supposed to be the confection commonly referred to as "Cheesecake". My interpretation has been renamed "Shit House". It was the ugliest, most horrible eye sore of an excuse for a cheesecake the world has ever seen. Burnt edges! HUGE crack! Everything you don't want a cheesecake to be. Not gonna lie, I still ate it.
Number Quatro:
Sometimes, on the rare occasion I actually leave the house on my off days, I try to look somewhat presentable. Here, a few days of outfits. I'll let you decide whether I succeeded or not.
I dress like this for the doctor's office because I have no where else to wear cute clothes. This is my life, people. Vince Camuto boots, red Express jeggings (yeah, jeggings, WHAT?! Ain't no shame in my game), white Target t-shirt, TJMaxx scarf.
Lunch date with the husband. Sometimes you gotta show the man what he's missing when he's at the office. I think I got that quote from RuPaul. Express sweater dress (had it since high school, for reals), Nordstrom polka dot tights, Cynthia Rowley bag via TJMagic.
I got so many compliments the day I wore this outfit- I wish I had a better shot of it! 3/4 sleeve lace dress from TJMaxx, Nine West tiger stripe belt, Nordstrom OTK socks, Vince Camuto boots (again).
This is me today! Lunch with the husband and doing what I do best- spending money at TJMaxx. Charlotte Russe (seriously!) navy striped grandpa cardigan, purple lace Gilligan & O'Malley bra from Target (let's pretend it's a cami- no one was the wiser!), pink American Eagle belt, TJMaxx scarf, Fossil bangle.
Numero Cinco:
Crap I bought today!
Saw this HUGE (5 1/2 feet tall, 4 feet wide) canvas of a zebra and I had to have it. Spent half an hour figuring out how the hell to get it in my car.
Success! Isn't it beauuutiful?
And I got this cute burlap silverware print. I mounted it on an aqua chevron canvas to modernize it a little bit. I'm going for a sort of modern rustic deep red & aqua thing in the kitchen. We'll see how it pans out.
Please god someone tell me how you make your life fun when you work full time? This is my first forray into being an adult and working adult hours and it's kinda completely lame if you ask me.

I have no advice since I'm home all day, but I looove everything going on in this post. The bangs, the outfits and the zebra print are to die for!! I'm so jealous that you can see a print as cool and bold as that and snatch it up. I spend too much time overthinking art and usually don't come home with anything at all.
First of all, love the scarf, love the dress. I need to hit up the TJ like, right away.
Second of all, for cheesecake, try this recipe/method from Joy The Baker. I never made cheesecake before and I tried this and it wasn't scary and it didn't crack. AND it was delicious. So.. try it! http://joythebaker.com/2011/11/salted-caramel-cheesecake-pie/
1 - stripes and floral always make me happy!
2 - the zebra print! Ahhh love it!
