We have a modular couch, meaning every individual piece can be separated and moved. It's awesome, and the possibilities are endless. However, I am not the type of person who should be allowed to have "endless possibilities" for anything. See diagram:
BLARG! Too many options!
We started out with a standard L-shaped sectional, then I got the bright idea to make it into movie theatre seating (oh, ahh!). That was awesome for about 5 days at which point I realized I could no longer lay on the couch. Eff that. Then I moved it into a C shape- may favorite arrangement so far. We've had it that way for a while, but of course, I can't leave well enough alone.
I get sick of looking at the same thing for too long, plus we have a backless piece that has been relegated to the loft (aka storage facility) for months and I decided that he needed some love, too.
Alright, enough talk, here's how I have it arranged now:
An elongated L-shape with the backless piece in between the two corner pieces.
The backless section is techinically supposed to be used as a chaise lounge but, whatevs.
I added a little table behind the backless section, which I think is cute. Then again, I'm not sure if it's a super awkward set-up and I'm just on the crack pipe, or if it actually is cute.
So what do you say, awesome or awkward? It's okay, you can be honest if you think I've been hitting the sauce a little too hard!
Thanks in advance!

I like it the way it is but unfortunately I've found the only real way to know which you really like is to move them around and take pictures. Good Luck!
I like the way it is! I was raised with an L shaped couch and have gotten used to cuddling in the corner. Haha! I miss it!
I actually like it the way it is. And your dogs are so adorable!
I can see how it might feel awkward if you're looking down at the arrangement from above, birdeye view. But I actually really like the way it looks straight on. Plus, you'll change it in a couple weeks/months and it'll be ok right? ;)
Totes awk.
