Getting Naked.

Alright, I'm doing it. I'm getting naked on this blog.

Well, my face at least.

I'll admit, I'm one of those women that refuses to leave the house without make-up. I've gotten better over the years, though. I no longer need a "full face" every time I go out in public, but I still feel naked and, let's face it, unattractive, without at least a little blush and mascara.

Why is that?

It's sad that so many of us have been conditioned to feel unattractive without make-up. That needs to change. Make-up should be a fun accessory, not a necessity.

So here I am joining the ranks of Katie at Ruffles and Truffles, Melinda at Palindrome at Home, Kate at Marsh Mellow Goodness, Carly at The Less Than Domestic Goddess, and Kim at Kimberly Michelle in a quest to own our bare-faced beauty.

Here I am, right out of bed:

Do you feel that you "need" make-up to face the world?

*If you've also posted a bare-faced blog, let me know, I'd love to check it out!*

You have beautiful features! I, too, feel more attractive with make-up. The world has certainly conditioned us. Let's reclaim this biotch already. You're beautiful straight out of bed!

You kinda look like April from Parks and Rec in those pics. Which I hope you take as a compliment bc that is like my favorite show right now and she's purty!!

So glad you participated as well :)

I do feel the urge/need to wear makeup when I'm out in public. It happens to be ingrained in me...but I've been getting used to not wearing makeup as much anymore. I think that it is partly just an adjustment: I'm getting used to seeing myself sans makeup...
