Here's the super simple, insanely delicious recipe:

Gather your entirely too delicious ingredients. I like to use really thin bread, but you can use whatever thickness you prefer.
Butter bread. Fontina and proscuitto on one side, basil and sundried tomato on the other. Do you see that sneaky piece of proscuitto reaching for the sundried tomato? That's how you know it's good.
Allow the two halves to become a whole *awww* then butter the hell out of the top and bottom of the sandwich. Then, the magic happens...
Mmmm, buttery, toasty, melty cheese. Yes, yes, yes.
When both sides are sufficiently browned, remove to a plate. Halfsies your sandwich (diagonally only in this household, damnit!) and admire the gooey cheese lava.
Admire a little bit more, then ohh and ahh as you devour. You eyes just might roll to the back of your head. Don't say I didn't warn you.
