Sorry I've been MIA over the weekend, but I had a really rough week last week, so this weekend I decided to just disconnect and do the one thing that always makes me feel better- shop! There really is nothing like a little retail therapy.
Apparently, the Shopping Gods noted my sour situation and bestowed some shopping luck/pity upon me, and I walked away with some great stuff at great prices. Yay!

I saw this aqua leather chair about a month and a half ago, and fell in love. I knew it would go perfectly in our apartment, but I passed it up because of the slightly steep price tag. That and the fact that it's almost physically impossible for me to buy anything full price. Of course, I've been kicking myself for it ever since.
Well, I went back this weekend to browse, not even expecting the chair to be there, and the she was- on sale for $100! I even sat on it while I called Mike so no one would get any bright ideas. Mike said go for it, and now she's mine, all mine!
The shape, the color, and ooh, aah, nailheads. Yay! I love furniture.
Disclaimer: I pretty much live in black. My daily uniform generally consists of a black bag, black shoes, black top, and jeans. Needless to say, it was getting stale. This weekend I was on a mission to see what brown could do for me (heh). I snatched this bag up as soon as I saw it. I love the hardware and stitching details, and the leather is sooo soft.
Oh, and check out that awesome lining! Did I mention it was on sale? Yup, originally $190, but I only paid $90. What did I tell you? Bargain shopper extraordinaire!
Last but not least, I've been looking for a great pair of boots for months. Literally. Apparently I'm very picky. I wanted a little bit of hardware, a slight heel, but nothing too chunky, knee height, but a little slouchy, with a touch of "cowgirl in the city". I know, ridiculous specifications. But I found them all in these gorgeous boots, which were (you guessed it) on sale at $50 off the original price.
Told you the Shopping Gods were smiling down on me that day!
