I stumbled upon one maybe 6 months ago while I was perusing one of my most favorite design blogs, MadeByGirl. I was instantly intrigued.
Upon further research I discovered that this "trend" has been around for a little while now. How have I never seen this before?!
Anywho, as far as deerheads, I'm pretty much disgusted by real taxidermy. I'm in the camp of, if you're going to kill it, just eat it and be done with it. How would you feel if someone had a taxidermied head of your mom on the wall as a "trophy"? Okay then.
However, when it comes to faux deerheads, I'm a little more on board. I really like them in plain white resin, the colorful decoupage ones are kind of amazing, but not really my style, and don't even get me started on the cardboard puzzle heads... I just don't get that one.
So, now that you've been formally introduced to the faux deerhead trend, what do you think? Do you love it, like it, or loathe it?
